Piano Lessons with Baby

Biscuit is getting an early start to her musical education.  She obviously has seen how her siblings play...with gusto!  I think we sound amazing together.

Many blessings to you and yours this Christmas season.  May the Lord richly bless you in love and mercy.

Vacation at the Beach!

It was HOT today!  69 degrees!  Whooo Hoooo!
I said we needed a vacation, but how to do you take 9 people on vacation when you are broke?  You pretend!  Leave your cell phones off for a day or two, make random plans at random times, stay up late, wake up early, and go to the beach.

69 degrees is seriously a heat wave here, and the water was only 52 degrees, but we have acclimated because it was lovely.  We made a "hot tub" and a fort.  It was an awesome vacation!

Taking the Time...

On Friday afternoons, one of the ladies at our church takes a couple of my children to the library and then back to her house for a few hours.  Sometimes they make bread, sometimes they make a meal for someone in need, sometimes the play a game, and for a couple of weeks before Christmas, they made these:

My children look forward to this special time each week, and I am so thankful for the wonderful experiences they are having.  What an investment Mrs. K is making.  Thank you!

My Pickles Are NOT Frozen!

Remember this?

That is frozen pickles... and eggs stored on the counter so they don't crack.

My homemade pickles aren't frozen anymore.  I love my new refrigerator.  I can fit in it every fresh thing my little organic heart fancies.
It has a freezer on the bottom.
That is so practical.

Especially for playing with horses!

I Love Lucy!

Pardon the intrusion in the Flashback posts, I finally have internet and this is just too good not to share!

So our BFTKC friends had a new baby.  This is number 8 for them.  They are not crazy (well, just enough to make us like them) though many think so.  I am gushy-smiling for them, because they had a girl.  And they had her at home (I'm serious, they are not crazy.)  If you want to know why this is so special, you can read about it here.  But I just can't stop getting all teary-eyed for them!  Too bad we now live on the exact opposite side of the country...

You Have Arrived...

Those are the sweetest words I've ever heard my GPS say.

Breathtakingly Beautiful. Home Sweet Home.

Thank You Lord, for safe travels, sweet memories, gorgeous Whidbey Island, and Your perfect plan for us! -Amen!

Fun at Dad's work!!!!

The other day we went to Mr. Pilot's work and played around in the Jet Simulator.
It was awesome!
Wow!Can you hear me?

Sis was a little pilot in a flower dress and bare feet.  She was making me sick spiraling toward the ground at top speed, but she was having a blast!

Everyone had a turn, except mom and Bucket.  Mom prefers to keep her feet on the ground, and Bucket was working hard!

Blueberries!

We finally headed out to the local blueberry farm.  I hope we get to go again before the baby comes, it was so beautiful and fun.   Yummy too!

Remember, you can click any picture too see it better...

I think we ate a small bucket's worth before we were done picking!  We picked about 1.5 gallons.  I put some in the freezer, Guys made a blueberry cheesecake, and I am sure we will be having blueberry pancakes for breakfast.
